WHO WE ARE

Cutting Edge was founded in 1991 by Andrew Crimin and Jim Emerson. Having both accumulated a wide breadth of experience within the world of set construction they decided to combine their collective knowledge and form the Cutting Edge Partnership. Over the past 27 years Cutting Edge have produced scenery for hundreds of clients from across the events and entertainment industries. From the Queens Golden Jubilee to the Harry Potter premiers, the BAFTAs to the FIFA World Cup, we are a trusted supplier for high profile scenery projects around the world.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

Project Management

We provide dedicated and experienced managers to oversee your project and ensure all scenic requirements are delivered to your specification.  Whether it be a pop-up shop, a conference, an awards ceremony, or a launch night. From design, to construction, to the on-site install, we will ensure your project is delivered to the highest quality.

Design / CAD

We can provide both design consultation and CAD drawings for any scenic element of your project, be it technical drawings to show how your scenic demands will be constructed, or visuals to show how the finish project will look when built.

Carpentry & Joinery

We have a dedicated team of skilled carpenters and joiners with years  of experience to ensure that your set is finished to the highest possible standard. Whether it be large-scale scenic flats, bespoke furniture pieces or staging, we will materialise your exact design requirements.

Scenic painting, metal work and poly carving

As the industry has evolved so have the services which we offer.  For longer term or exterior installations we can provide metal work to create a more resilient structure. We also work with highly talented scenic artists who can produce anything from textured walls to mural paintings. Additionally, our team boasts experienced polystyrene carvers who can create intricate pieces ranging from animals to hills.
